About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a specialization in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join their innovative team in Oxford . Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of AWS environments through monitoring, alerting, and optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud governance, cost management, and compliance.
- Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on AWS services and architectural patterns.
- Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proven expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and monitoring best practices in cloud environments.
