About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong specialization in AWS to join their distributed engineering team, operating in a fully remote capacity from Reading . This role is integral to designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure that powers critical business applications. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest levels of system reliability and performance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure on AWS .
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments and infrastructure updates.
- Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry best practices on AWS.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization, implementing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions in a remote setting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, with a deep focus on AWS .
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex AWS solutions (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform , CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and monitoring solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative remote team environment.
