Senior Cloud Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in cloud solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join their expanding technical team, with a focus on their Reading operations. This role is central to designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports critical business operations. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, implementing necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards within the cloud environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related infrastructure role.
• Proven expertise with major cloud providers such as AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python , Bash) and IaC tools.
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
