About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join their expanding technology division in Bristol . This role is integral to designing, implementing, and managing their cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability. You will work closely with development and operations teams to optimize cloud environments and automate deployments. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in cloud technologies within a flexible hybrid working model , contributing to the strategic technological direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments and infrastructure management.
Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimizations and cost-saving measures.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications into the cloud infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship on cloud best practices to engineering teams.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related infrastructure role.
Proven expertise in managing and automating cloud environments on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team .
