Senior Cloud Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead their cloud infrastructure initiatives, offering a fully remote position. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions that support our client's rapidly growing business. This role involves working with cutting-edge cloud technologies, automating infrastructure deployment, and ensuring the reliability of our services. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud environments and drive innovation, working remotely to achieve these goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure management.
• Monitor cloud resource utilization, performance, and security, implementing best practices to ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure cloud-native application architectures are efficient and scalable.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers within the cloud and infrastructure team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related infrastructure role.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .
• Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools.
• Understanding of networking, security principles, and monitoring tools in a cloud environment.
