Senior Cloud Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis, supporting their dynamic infrastructure. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-based network solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of networks across major cloud platforms, working collaboratively with development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud networking infrastructure (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls) on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures within the cloud environment, including security groups, NACLs, and WAFs.
• Optimize cloud network performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues within the cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with application development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Develop and document network architectures, standards, and operational procedures for cloud environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cloud network engineering with a proven track record in AWS, Azure, or GCP networking.
• Strong understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, routing, switching).
• Proficiency in managing cloud security services and best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
