Senior Cloud Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer for a fully remote role. This position is central to designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure within cloud environments. You will leverage your expertise in cloud networking technologies to support our client's digital transformation initiatives and ensure seamless connectivity for all services. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading cloud platforms and contribute to the architecture of next-generation networks, all from a remote location. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for cloud infrastructure and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure and high-performance virtual networks on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and maintain network connectivity between on-premises data centres and cloud environments (hybrid cloud solutions).
• Develop and automate network configurations, deployments, and management tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure optimal availability and resilience.
• Implement and manage network security controls, including firewalls, security groups, and VPNs in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Cloud Network Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on cloud platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing, and firewalls within AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
• Strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with container networking (e.g., Kubernetes networking) is a significant advantage.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
