About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their distributed engineering team, operating in a fully remote capacity and serving clients globally, with operational ties to Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This strategic role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions tailored to meet diverse client needs. You will be a key advisor, translating complex business requirements into robust technical architectures across major cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, a proven track record in architecting complex systems, and a passion for driving digital transformation in a remote-first, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop comprehensive cloud migration strategies and roadmaps for clients moving to the cloud.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, cost optimization, and disaster recovery.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and technologies to meet project objectives.
- Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, diagrams, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing, with at least 5 years in a cloud architecture role.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing solutions on at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of networking, security, databases, and DevOps principles within cloud environments.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote setting.
