Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their expanding technology division in Bristol . This pivotal role involves designing and implementing comprehensive cloud strategies and architectures that align with business objectives. You will work with a diverse range of technologies, leading the technical vision for cloud deployments and ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cloud platforms, a passion for innovation, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, guiding the organization through its cloud transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective cloud architectures.
• Develop and document cloud strategy, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security policies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud migration projects and new cloud-native application development.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide expert-level support during critical incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and solution architecture, with a significant focus on cloud technologies.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS , Azure, GCP), including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and network security principles.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
