About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their technology leadership team in Reading . In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing technical guidance and strategy for cloud adoption and transformation initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms and a proven ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive cloud architecture strategies and roadmaps.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet business requirements.
• Oversee the implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and operations teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable technical plans.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture.
• Proven experience designing and deploying complex solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, compute, storage, and database services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
