Senior Commercial Lawyer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their vibrant legal team in Leeds . This role offers the chance to provide high-level legal advice across a broad spectrum of commercial activities, focusing on contract negotiation, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with various business units, offering strategic legal support to drive commercial success and mitigate risk. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts , including supply agreements, service level agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright protection.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and legislation.
• Manage and resolve commercial disputes, seeking cost-effective solutions.
• Provide legal training and guidance to non-legal staff on commercial matters.
• Support the business development teams with legal aspects of new ventures and projects.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years' PQE.
• Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements .
• Strong understanding of commercial law, IP law, and consumer protection legislation.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a business-oriented approach.
