Senior Community Care Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Community Care Officer to join their expanding services in Cambridge . This role is vital in overseeing the delivery of high-quality community-based care and support services to a diverse range of clients. You will be responsible for leading a team of care officers, managing client caseloads, and ensuring that all care provided meets the highest standards of quality and person-centred practice. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of community care officers, ensuring effective service delivery and professional development.
• Manage a caseload of clients, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and regularly reviewing their effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies, including CQC guidelines and safeguarding procedures.
• Liaise effectively with clients, their families, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to ensure coordinated and integrated care.
• Handle complex cases and challenging situations, providing guidance and support to care officers.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new services and initiatives within the community care framework.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, such as NVQ/QCF Level 4 or 5, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in community care or social support roles, with demonstrable experience in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, safeguarding vulnerable adults, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community-based duties in and around Cambridge is required.
