Senior Completions Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Completions Engineer to join their team in Plymouth . This critical role involves the design, planning, and execution of well completion operations to ensure safe and efficient hydrocarbon production. You will be responsible for selecting appropriate completion equipment, developing detailed completion programs, and managing associated risks. Working collaboratively with drilling and production teams, you will ensure optimal well performance and asset integrity throughout the production lifecycle, contributing to the overall success of field development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize well completion programs and select appropriate downhole equipment.
• Manage the procurement and logistics of completion materials and services.
• Oversee on-site execution of completion operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans for completion operations.
• Collaborate with reservoir and production engineers to ensure completion designs meet production targets.
• Conduct post-completion analysis and prepare detailed reports on performance and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in completions engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Strong knowledge of completion hardware, well control, and wellbore fluid management.
• Experience with various completion types, including intelligent completions and multi-lateral wells.
• Proficiency in relevant well engineering software and tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
