Senior Compliance Manager - Fintech

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Senior Compliance Manager to join their innovative Fintech team, operating entirely remotely. This role is integral to ensuring the company adheres to the complex regulatory landscape governing financial technology. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust compliance frameworks, advising on regulatory strategy, and managing compliance risks associated with new product development and operations. This is a critical position for driving integrity and trust within a rapidly evolving sector, based in Bristol .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the company's compliance program, focusing on Fintech regulations and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive compliance risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations such as GDPR, AML, KYC, and other financial services directives.
• Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, managing communications and responses during examinations.
• Provide expert compliance guidance to product development, legal, and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees, ensuring a strong understanding of regulatory obligations.

Requirements

• Law degree or a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, with a strong focus on Fintech or financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and international regulations impacting the Fintech industry.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex issues effectively in a remote setting .
