About the Role
Our client, a reputable financial services firm in Bristol , is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Compliance Officer . This hybrid role will involve ensuring the company adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies, particularly within the context of financial services. You will play a crucial part in developing and implementing compliance frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and advising business units on best practices. The ideal candidate is meticulous, possesses a strong understanding of UK financial regulations, and thrives in a collaborative environment that blends office presence with remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular compliance monitoring and testing to ensure adherence to regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA).
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance matters and regulatory changes.
- Assist in preparing for and managing regulatory inspections and audits.
- Stay updated on relevant legislative and regulatory developments affecting the financial sector .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance role within the UK financial services industry .
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, such as MiFID II, AML, and GDPR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Comfortable working within a hybrid model, balancing office-based and remote responsibilities in Bristol .
