About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and innovative Senior Computational Biologist to join their cutting-edge genomics research team, working entirely remotely. This role is central to leveraging large-scale genomic and transcriptomic data to uncover new biological insights and drive therapeutic discovery. You will design and implement advanced computational methods, develop pipelines for data analysis, and collaborate closely with experimental biologists and bioinformaticians. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply computational and statistical methods to analyze large-scale genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics datasets.
- Design and build robust bioinformatics pipelines for data processing, quality control, and analysis.
- Collaborate with experimental teams to interpret results and generate testable hypotheses.
- Develop predictive models for disease risk, drug response, or target identification.
- Contribute to scientific publications and presentations, sharing findings with the wider research community.
Requirements
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in computational biology, with a strong focus on genomics and transcriptomics data analysis .
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and libraries.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in a remote setting .
