Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Computational Biologist to join their pioneering team, working remotely to advance machine learning applications in drug discovery . This role is crucial in developing and applying sophisticated computational models and algorithms to predict drug efficacy, toxicity, and mechanism of action. You will collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, and data scientists to integrate diverse datasets and build predictive tools that accelerate the identification and optimization of novel drug candidates. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for predictive applications in drug discovery.
- Analyze and integrate large, multi-modal datasets (e.g., chemical structures, biological assays, omics data) to build predictive models.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams to define research questions and translate them into computational solutions.
- Design and conduct computational experiments to validate model predictions and guide experimental efforts.

Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong biological component.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience applying computational methods and machine learning to biological problems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of drug discovery principles and biological pathways.
