Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex biological datasets, including genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data.
- Develop and implement computational models and algorithms to understand biological pathways and disease mechanisms.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists to design studies and interpret findings.
- Visualize and present data effectively to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
- Contribute to the development of research strategies and the acquisition of new data.
- Ensure the integrity and reproducibility of computational analyses.
Requirements
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in computational biology or bioinformatics research.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases.
- Expertise in analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
