Senior Computational Biologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Computational Biologist to join their leading-edge research team in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply computational and statistical methods to analyze large-scale biological datasets (e.g., NGS, single-cell data).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multi-omics data and generate actionable biological hypotheses.
• Develop predictive models for drug response and disease progression.
• Visualize complex biological data and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational biology, machine learning, and relevant biological fields.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational biology, with a strong emphasis on analyzing omics data.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, crucial for collaborating with researchers in Cambridge .
