Senior Computational Biologist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply computational and statistical methods for the analysis of complex biological data, including next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
• Design and implement bioinformatics pipelines to support various research programs.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to define research questions and guide experimental design from a data perspective.
• Interpret analysis results and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and analytical tools.
• Manage data resources and ensure the reproducibility of computational analyses.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in computational biology or bioinformatics research.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries and tools.
• Extensive experience with the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic data.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
