About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Computational Biologist to join their dynamic research team in Oxford . This role is essential for developing and applying computational approaches to analyze complex biological data, driving insights across discovery and development programs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of biologists, chemists, and data scientists to uncover patterns, build predictive models, and guide experimental design. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement computational and statistical methods for analyzing large-scale biological datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.

- Collaborate with experimental biologists to interpret results, generate hypotheses, and guide experimental strategies.
- Apply machine learning and data mining techniques to identify biomarkers, predict drug response, and understand disease mechanisms.
- Develop data visualization tools and reports to effectively communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in computational biology, bioinformatics, and relevant biological domains.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in computational biology or a related field, with a strong focus on biological data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries and tools.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments and cloud computing platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
