Senior Computational Scientist - Cheminformatics

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Computational Scientist with a specialization in Cheminformatics to join their innovative research and development team in Sheffield . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced cheminformatics and computational chemistry techniques.
• Build and maintain large chemical and biological databases for drug discovery projects.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Cheminformatics, Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cheminformatics and computational drug discovery.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with cheminformatics toolkits (e.g., RDKit, Open Babel).
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application to chemical data.
• Experience with database management and QSAR modeling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working within a hybrid team structure.
