Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Construction Engineer to join their team, focusing on major infrastructure projects in Belfast and surrounding areas. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical aspects of construction, ensuring engineering integrity, safety, and quality are paramount throughout project execution. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical guidance and supervision for large-scale infrastructure projects .
- Ensure all construction activities comply with engineering design specifications, relevant standards, and regulations.
- Oversee quality control and assurance processes, conducting site inspections and material testing.
- Manage and coordinate engineering teams and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious environment.
- Review and approve technical submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering problems that arise during construction.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience as a Construction Engineer , with a significant focus on infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, utilities).
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g., MICE, MIStructE) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
