Senior Construction Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Construction Manager to oversee complex construction projects in the Cambridge region. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional project management skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing site operations, leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to stringent health and safety standards, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. This is a critical position for driving project success and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety on site, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning through to handover.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety compliance.
• Manage and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Mitigate risks and resolve issues promptly to ensure project delivery.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar senior site leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects successfully.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or Engineering.
• SMSTS and First Aid certifications are essential.
