About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Planner to join their team in Derby . You will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing complex construction project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and resource allocation. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable plans, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed master project schedules for large-scale construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and resource constraints.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, forecasts, and schedule updates to management and clients.
- Develop and implement effective construction sequencing and logistics plans.
- Utilize advanced planning software to model and optimize project schedules.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Construction Planner or Senior Planner.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject, or similar.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and project management principles.
- Ability to analyze complex projects and develop effective scheduling strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
