Senior Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Planner to join their project team for a major development project based in Plymouth . This role is pivotal in developing, maintaining, and communicating detailed construction programmes, ensuring efficient project delivery and resource allocation. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to create realistic and achievable plans, identifying critical paths and potential risks. This senior role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to large-scale projects in Devon , with the flexibility of remote working options.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update master construction programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject).
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support the overall business goals.
• Identify critical path activities and potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor site progress against the programme, reporting on variances and forecasting completion dates.
• Conduct site visits to gather progress information and assess site conditions.
• Prepare and present programme updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience in construction planning , preferably in a senior role.
• Proficiency with industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in delay analysis and EOT claims is advantageous.
