Senior Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Leeds . This role is central to ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality construction works, managing all aspects from initial concept to final handover. You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, operating within a hybrid work structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects from procurement and design through to completion and closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects remain on track.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Liaise effectively with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing accurate and timely reports to senior management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years' experience in Construction Project Management , with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
• Proven experience in managing project budgets, controlling costs, and negotiating contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
