Senior Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in the Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality construction projects, from initial concept to final handover. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction lifecycle, including budget control, timeline adherence, and site safety, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in the construction industry and a passion for delivering excellence in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets, and monitor progress closely.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor relationships, overseeing performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols on all project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial or residential construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional qualifications such as a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent, and PMP/PRINCE2 certification are highly desirable.
