Senior Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and highly accomplished Senior Construction Project Manager to lead significant projects in the Oxford region. You will be responsible for the overall success of complex construction endeavours, from initial concept and planning through to final handover. This role requires extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic planning, financial management, and leadership capabilities, driving projects to successful completion while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Lead and mentor project teams, including site managers, engineers, and other professionals.
• Develop and implement robust risk management strategies and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and consultants, fostering strong working relationships.
• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance are maintained throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing large and complex construction projects.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, meeting budget and schedule targets.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction law, contracts, and project management methodologies.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, ideally with professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
