Senior Control Systems Engineer - Energy Automation

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their innovative team focused on Energy Automation in Bristol . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems for energy applications, including power plants and substations.
• Configure and program control systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
• Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for monitoring and controlling industrial processes.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for control systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control system issues, both remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in control systems engineering, with specific experience in the energy sector .
• Proficiency with programming of major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA/DCS software.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, DNP3).
• Experience with network design and cybersecurity for industrial control systems is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
