About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their forward-thinking team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to the design, implementation, and optimization of sophisticated control systems for industrial automation and energy management applications. You will lead projects, develop control strategies, program PLCs and DCS systems, and ensure the seamless integration of automation solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement control system architectures for industrial processes and power generation facilities.
- Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) from major vendors (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson).
- Develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Conduct system testing , commissioning, and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior control systems engineers.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in control systems engineering and industrial automation.
- Proven expertise in PLC/DCS programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with SCADA systems and data acquisition techniques is essential.
