Senior Control Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is central to designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated control systems that drive industrial processes and automation solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of these critical systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program PLC , DCS , and SCADA systems for various industrial applications.
• Specify hardware and software components, ensuring compatibility and optimal system performance.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation, including functional design specifications and sequence of operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues, providing on-site and remote support as needed.
• Collaborate with process engineers and project teams to define control strategies and system requirements.
• Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning to ensure successful project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Automation) and SCADA software.
• Strong understanding of process control principles, instrumentation, and automation technologies .
• Experience with project management methodologies and working in a hybrid environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
