Senior Control Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team based in Liverpool . This crucial role involves the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced control systems for industrial automation and process control applications. You will work on diverse projects, leveraging your expertise in automation technologies to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLCs , DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Develop and implement advanced control strategies for complex industrial processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control system hardware and software.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including P&IDs, logic diagrams, and user manuals.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and operational staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Control Systems Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with programming languages for major PLC/DCS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB).
• Strong understanding of process automation , instrumentation, and industrial networks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a hybrid work model .
