Senior Control Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing team in Bradford . You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex industrial control systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety. This role involves working with cutting-edge automation technologies to enhance production processes and drive efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for industrial automation.
• Develop and implement advanced control strategies to optimize process performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with control systems hardware and software.
• Develop functional design specifications (FDS) and control narratives .
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance staff.
• Lead or participate in control system upgrade and modernization projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial control systems engineering .
• Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA software.
• Strong understanding of process automation principles and instrumentation.
• Experience with functional safety systems (SIL).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
