Senior Corporate Counsel - Technology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Counsel with a focus on the technology sector. This is a fully remote position, ideal for an experienced lawyer looking to provide expert legal support to a fast-growing tech company from anywhere in the UK. You will play a critical role in advising on commercial agreements, intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate transactions that underpin the company's innovative products and services. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the tech industry's unique legal challenges and thrive in a dynamic, remote-first environment, contributing to the company's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume of technology-focused commercial contracts (SaaS, licensing, development agreements).
• Advise on intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations globally.
• Support corporate activities, including fundraising, M&A, and general corporate governance.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to mitigate legal risks.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 7 years' experience, preferably with a tech focus.
• Strong background in technology contracts , IP, and data protection.
• Experience with corporate transactions and venture capital financings is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting .
