Senior Corporate Counsel

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join their dynamic legal team based in the heart of London, England . This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a range of corporate matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. You will play a crucial part in safeguarding the company's interests and facilitating its strategic objectives, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure legal best practices are upheld throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, and partnership deals.
• Provide expert legal counsel on matters of corporate governance , board resolutions, and statutory filings.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including data protection and employment law across the UK.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, and liaise with external counsel when necessary.
• Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues impacting the business.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practicing certificate in England and Wales.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, gained either in private practice or in-house.
• Demonstrable expertise in commercial contract law and corporate governance principles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
