About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Corporate Lawyer to join their esteemed legal team based in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive legal counsel on a wide array of corporate transactions and ongoing legal matters. You will be instrumental in advising on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and various departments, contributing to strategic decision-making and risk mitigation within a dynamic commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and fundraising activities.
• Provide expert legal advice on company law, commercial contracts, and corporate governance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents and agreements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide clear, concise legal opinions.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations in Scotland and the UK.
• Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to the overall development of the legal department's expertise.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Proven track record in handling significant corporate transactions and providing high-level legal advisory services.
• In-depth knowledge of UK company law, commercial contract law, and M&A processes.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
