About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting for a skilled and dependable Senior Courier Driver to join their dynamic parcel delivery service in Glasgow . As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for the timely and secure delivery of parcels to a wide range of customers. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent navigational skills, and the ability to manage your workload efficiently. You will be the face of the company to many clients, making customer service and a positive attitude paramount. This is a depot-based role requiring consistent on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels to customers' homes and businesses accurately and on schedule.
• Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring the integrity of packages.
• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using navigation tools.
• Provide a high level of customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all required documentation is completed.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence (Category B) with a clean driving record and demonstrable driving experience.
• Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is essential.
• Good knowledge of the Glasgow area and surrounding postcode districts.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet delivery targets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
