About the Role

You will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, conducting financial due diligence, and making recommendations on creditworthiness to support lending decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
• Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments, providing clear recommendations on loan approvals, terms, and conditions.
• Monitor the credit quality of existing loan portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending proactive mitigation strategies.
• Develop and refine credit scoring models and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ensure all credit decisions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with relationship managers and other stakeholders to understand client needs and manage risk effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a similar role within the banking and finance sector .
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and debt covenants.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex credit opinions clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a demanding Portsmouth workplace.
