Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and analyze cryptographic protocols for blockchain applications and systems.
- Develop and integrate advanced cryptographic techniques, including zero-knowledge proofs, homomorphic encryption, and secure multi-party computation.
- Conduct security audits and threat modeling for blockchain protocols and smart contracts .
- Research and advise on emerging cryptographic standards and their applicability to blockchain security.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed cryptographic security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain tools for cryptographic key management and secure enclave operations.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Cryptography, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in applied cryptography, with a focus on blockchain security .
- Expert knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, and digital signatures.
- Experience with cryptographic libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenSSL, libsodium) and their application in secure systems.
- Understanding of blockchain principles and the security challenges inherent in distributed ledger technologies.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as C++, Python, or Rust for cryptographic implementation.
