About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Cyber Security Analyst to bolster their security operations center in Wolverhampton . In this role, you will lead the investigation and response to complex security incidents, conduct advanced threat hunting, and contribute to the strategic development of security defenses. You will mentor junior analysts and play a key part in ensuring the organization remains resilient against sophisticated cyber threats. This is a critical position for an experienced professional aiming to make a significant impact on enterprise security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and investigation of advanced security threats and incidents, providing timely and accurate reporting.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using various security tools and intelligence sources.
• Develop and refine security monitoring strategies, including tuning SIEM rules and alerts.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the security analysis team.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of security technologies and solutions.
• Participate in the creation and testing of incident response plans and playbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or security operations.
• Expertise in threat intelligence, incident response, and malware analysis .
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, network forensics, and other security monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
