Senior Cyber Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Cyber Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure IT infrastructure in Reading . This role is responsible for creating robust security architectures that protect the organisation from advanced threats. You will define security standards, evaluate new technologies, and guide the integration of security into all aspects of the IT landscape. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise-level IT architectures, incorporating security best practices and controls.
• Define security standards, policies, and guidelines for the organisation's IT infrastructure and applications.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to address evolving threats.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into the design and deployment of new systems and services.
• Lead security architecture reviews and provide expert guidance on complex security challenges.
• Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, including diagrams and specifications.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Cyber Security Architect or in a similar senior security design role.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), application security, and cryptography.
• Proficiency in security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Strong understanding of threat modelling and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
