Senior Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client requires a seasoned Senior Cyber Security Consultant to provide expert guidance and strategic support to their clients in Glasgow . In this role, you will assess client security postures, identify risks, and design tailored security solutions to address complex challenges. You will leverage your deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices to advise organizations on how to strengthen their defenses. This consultancy position demands excellent client-facing skills and the ability to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Develop and present detailed security strategy and roadmaps for diverse clients.
• Advise clients on implementing effective security controls and technologies to mitigate identified risks.
• Lead security awareness training sessions and workshops for client personnel.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security solutions to provide cutting-edge advice.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders at all levels to build trust and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in cyber security consulting or a senior security advisory role.
• Proven expertise in multiple security domains such as network security, application security, cloud security, and data privacy.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and client management skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as required, alongside remote engagement.
• Relevant advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are essential.
