Senior Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cyber Security Consultant for a contract position, offering a fully remote working arrangement. You will provide expert advisory services to clients, assessing their security posture, identifying risks, and recommending strategic solutions to enhance their defenses. This role demands a deep understanding of current cyber threats and the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable business advice. You will work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, contributing significantly to their cybersecurity maturity and resilience from your own location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cybersecurity assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop bespoke security strategies, policies, and roadmaps tailored to client needs.
• Advise clients on best practices for data protection, network security, and incident response planning.
• Lead security awareness training programs for client staff.
• Assist clients in achieving compliance with relevant regulatory standards and frameworks.
• Provide expert guidance on emerging threats and technologies, including cloud security and IoT security.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Cyber Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS).
• Experience with risk management, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, including network, application, and cloud security.
• Excellent client-facing and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
• Relevant professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly preferred.
