About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join their expanding security team, operating entirely on a remote basis. This role is critical in protecting the organisation's digital assets by developing, implementing, and managing advanced cybersecurity measures. You will be involved in proactive threat hunting, incident response, security architecture reviews, and ensuring compliance with global security standards. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced threat hunting activities across the network and cloud environments.
• Lead investigations into complex security incidents, determining root causes and implementing effective countermeasures.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure robust protection.
• Perform security architecture reviews for new systems and applications, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Manage and optimize security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
• Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, providing actionable intelligence.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in cyber security roles with a focus on incident response and threat intelligence.
• Strong technical expertise in network security, endpoint security, and cloud security (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote team.
• Relevant certifications like CISSP, GIAC certifications, or equivalent experience.
