Senior Cybersecurity Analyst - Threat Detection

Our client is actively recruiting a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Detection to join their fully remote security operations team. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) to detect potential threats.
• Analyze security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and provide detailed incident reports.
• Develop and refine threat detection rules , signatures, and correlation logic within security tools.
• Proactively hunt for advanced threats within the environment using various methodologies and tools.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity trends.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and remediate security breaches effectively.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of security monitoring and detection capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity , with a focus on threat detection, incident response, or security operations (SOC).
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and attack vectors.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Proficiency in analyzing log data, packet captures, and malware samples.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC) are a plus.
