Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their security team on a fully remote basis. You will play a key part in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security awareness initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect and analyze potential threats and intrusions.
• Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, providing proactive defense strategies.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all stages of the system development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
• Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and common attack vectors.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and penetration testing methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are highly desirable.
