Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their team, with the flexibility of a fully remote position. This role is instrumental in defending the organization against cyber threats through proactive monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. You will analyze security data, identify vulnerabilities, and contribute to the enhancement of security tools and processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of security threats, and a commitment to maintaining a secure digital environment for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats and anomalies using SIEM and other security tools.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis and coordinating containment efforts.
• Conduct threat intelligence gathering and analysis to identify emerging risks and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and tune security alerts and rules to improve detection capabilities.
• Contribute to the improvement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to junior security analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analysis or security operations center (SOC) role.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
