Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their fully remote security operations team. This vital role will focus on protecting the organization's digital assets from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, and implementing effective defensive measures. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect potential threats.
• Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and develop containment and eradication strategies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Provide expertise and guidance on security matters to IT and business units.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, coordinating efforts to minimize impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and penetration testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
