Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is searching for a proactive and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Glasgow . You will be responsible for advanced threat detection, analysis, and response, playing a vital role in protecting the organization's digital assets from sophisticated cyber threats. This position requires a deep understanding of security principles, extensive experience with security tools, and the ability to lead investigations and provide strategic security recommendations. You will contribute significantly to the ongoing enhancement of our client's security posture and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the investigation and analysis of complex security incidents and threat intelligence.
• Develop and refine detection rules and security monitoring capabilities within SIEM and other security tools.
• Conduct in-depth forensic analysis of security breaches and provide detailed reports.
• Proactively hunt for threats and vulnerabilities within the network and systems.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on security best practices.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the incident response plan .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis , incident response, or threat intelligence.
• Advanced proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security monitoring technologies.
• Strong knowledge of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Experience with digital forensics tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical findings to diverse audiences.
